6 INTERESTING SMOKEY SHELL

A group of six unusual smoky shell buttons including one 1 1/16” NBS large, two NBS size medium and three NBS size small, the smallest one being 9/16 “. The square has a wonderful carved checkerboard pattern, there are two buttons set with cut steel one featuring a steel clover, an engraved sew-through set in metal, an unusual pierced disc with a pin shank attaching it to a flat brass plate and a very unusual checkerboard stencil over a dyed blue shell wafer mounted on what could be lacquered wood with brass grommets fortifying the sew-through holes. All in good condition.
