I might name this one “ One hand up, one hand down guy”! In blue pants! Another example of the ceramic buttons made in Oakland, California in the mid-20th century by Samoth Ceramics. So many of the Samoth buttons are wacky, weird and wonderful and that’s why we love them! I Wish I could tell you more about Samoth but unfortunately very little is known about them despite numerous searches for information on their history. The buttons are typically molded and hand glazed with a flat back and a glued-on plastic shank. I’ve never seen one with a back mark.
